How to inspire a love to read

Reading is a good thing. But we should not forget the time we live in. Today, information is received in a different manner from what it was even five or ten years ago. We used to read books, newspapers and magazines - it was the main way of getting information. Today, we get the information through the computer and the Internet. Therefore, the parents' requirements to reading are often not adequate and do not take into consideration the current context.
Also, usually, parents are too emotional in their expectations. In bothered and rigorous conversations often such expressions can slip as: "If you will not read, you will grow up and work as a janitor ..." etc. As we can see the substitution of meaning appears.  Instead of "reading - is an interesting and great fun" a child hears  "reading  - it is right and necessary."
